Why should I hire The House Cleaning Squad?

We are a reliable and thorough team of home cleaning professionals. We take pride on our work and treat your home with care and respect. Our goal is to take care of all aspects of cleaning your home from deep cleaning bathrooms, blinds and baseboards to disinfecting sinks, so you can take care of the things that matter most to you.

How do I get started?

 To schedule online, all you have to do is fill out some details about you, your home, what you
need done, select date and time and you’re all set! Click on the link for a quote. Remember you can also call us or text us at 801/653-0604 and we can schedule your cleaning appointment.

How often should I clean my home?

We recommend that homes with small children be cleaned every week, homes with adults only once a month and every home in between every other week.

Does the cleaning quote include a tip?

The price for a cleaning does not include a tip, however tipping is not required and the Service Professionals do not expect a gratuity for the service delivered but if you feel inclined to tip they of course would be appreciative of any gratuity.

How do I leave a tip for my cleaner(s)?

If you would like to leave a tip for the cleaner(s), tips can be given as cash at the time of service or can be added to your credit card payment by request via text message, phone, or email. Cleaners do keep 100% of tips.

Do I need to be home during the cleaning?

No, you do not have to be home during the cleaning. You may provide access to your home information on the form at time of scheduling service.

What’s a Standard Cleaning?

A standard cleaning is recommended for homes that are generally well kept and have been cleaned within a month or 2. See checklist here.

What’s a Heave Duty Cleaning?

Heavy Duty cleaning is recommended for homes which have not been cleaned for a while or have never been professionally cleaned. Typically it shows some of these conditions: build up on surfaces, bathrooms and or kitchen, extra pet hair, hard water staining, and/or other similar conditions.

What’s a Move Out/in Cleaning?

Move out/in cleaning is recommended for homes that are vacant. Everything has been moved out with the exception of appliances and other permanently attached fixtures. This Deep Cleaning service includes: cleaning inside and outside of appliances, inside and outside cabinets and drawers, wet wipe throughput, such as baseboards and blinds, window sills, garage sweep, etc. See checklist here.

What’s a Deep Cleaning?

Deep cleaning is recommended equally for homes that are well maintained as well as those that require Heavy Duty cleaning. Deep cleaning typically includes: wet wipe throughout, such as blinds, baseboards, etc. See checklist here.

Are the people you send to my home trustworthy?

All of our employees are home cleaning professionals with considerable time in this profession. They have gone through background checks and ethics and professionalism training.

Is there a minimum number of services requirement?

Yes, there is a minimum of 5 purchase services. This guarantees that we get to all areas in your home and at the end of the 5 services your home is well cleaned. You do not have to pay for all 5 services upfront, your card gets charged 48 hours before each service.

Cancellations and Reschedules

You may cancel or reschedule service directly from your account (app) or you may call or text 801-653-0604. Please note there is a $50 cancellation fee for cancellations within 24 hours of your appointment.

Services NOT offered:

Carpet cleaning, removal of permanent stains, removal of excessive water built up, removal of black mold, trash haul away, clutter pick up, cleaning of pet or human feces or blood, cleaning of exterior windows, bug infestation, ceilings, wall washing or lighting fixtures, surfaces higher than a 3 step ladder, moving furniture, heavily soiled areas, surface restoration, hoarder conditions.

What forms of payment are accepted?

Credit Cards, Debit cards and Venmo @CleaningSquad. We do NOT accept cash or checks. Also note cleaners can NOT take service payments unless it’s gratuity.

When will my credit card be charged for the cleaning?

The day of your service. Please note that a credit card is required to hold your appointment.

I have pets, can you still service my place?

Of course! If you do have pets in your home, we ask that you indicate it in your cleaning notes or let your cleaner know. Some of our staff may have allergies or are afraid of certain species, and we want to ensure that we send the clean team best suited for your cleaning!

How many cleaners should I expect?

Typically in homes under 3600 sf 1 or 2 cleaners are assigned. On homes greater than 3600 sf its usually 2-3 cleaners.

Do cleaners bring in their own supplies?

Yes! Cleaners bring in all supplies and equipment to clean your home. If you would rather have us use your cleaning supplies or equipment you will be happy to do that. Indicate so in the comments or let your cleaners know when they arrive.
